What's wrong with disco stu? By far and large a staple in the microcosm that is Springfield!! Without Disco's random innateness, where would we be? In a world that wasn't fun, I assure you.

Sith and disco? Why not? Dance. Dance. Dance!
Seriously though, I think Palpatine in the recent movie described it well. The Jedi have a narrow view of the Force. The Sith embrace all the Force. That would mean love and hate, light and dark. Can anyone here remember his exact words?
Yes, Sithism.com does consider itself a real religion. A person can go as deep in as they like. You could spend your life there. There is never a dull moment.

Disco! ? Is this a joke? I don't thing love is something "evil" for one Sith. I can assure you I am fall in love and I am still a Sith. I even think that if you love someone it makes you stronger in the Dark Side.

So, is love a light side trait or a dark side trait?

Dark of course. It is forbidden to jedi to have such feelings.

technically i would say it is a part of both... the jedi were forbidden to marry/ love someone, and yet it is supposed to be central to their lives??
whereas the sith use their passions for their strength - love is most definately a type of passion

I think George Lucas has turned the usual concepts of good and evil on its head when he implies that love is of the Dark Side. Basically, he is saying that Anakin went to the Dark Side because he was in love with someone (How dare he.) It fits and is consistant with episode II because Anakin kills the sand people because he loved his mother. So therefore, "good" guys don't love. I guess they don't hate either, just cold indifference.
According to the movie, Jedis are coldly indifferent, and Sith love or hate. Well then, I'd rather marry a Sith than a Jedi. Who wants a relationship with an ice cube?
I think one thing this movie did is erase the Jedi=good; Sith=bad thing.

I think the jedi do love they are just supposed to controll it more than a sith and that is something that anakin could not do.

I agree with you. But if love is controlled ... is this love?!?

I always found it weird that the Jedi forbade marriage. It is almost implied that marriage is a Dark Side thing. It is odd especially because the movie says high mediclorian counts are passed genetically. If they forbid marriage, the Jedi are literally eliminating high mediclorian people out of the genepool. One would think that it would be desirable for Jedis to marry Jedis and have babies to become Jedis due to their high mediclorian count.

Controlled love can be seen in episode 2. When Padme falls out of the ship and Anakin wants to go help her but Obi Wan won't let him. It just means that you must not let love control your actions.

I like Sushi's view on the love thing. As to the Code of the Sith I always thought that was; There is no power wasted. The only rule is do not waste your power. I never saw that other quote until today. Interesting, I am the Destroyer of Worlds. That is Shiva's Job at the end of time according to the Tales of Shiva. I like you, Darth Sidious, like the Star Wars Sith especialy Palpatine and Vader and prefer to use them as a model. I enjoy your site alot. If my site ever happens I will give a link in hopes to help advertise you.

Another Sith Code:
Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion I gain strength. Through strength I gain power. Through power I gain victory. Through victory my chains are broken. The Force shall free me.
Though I appreciate the one with the heart of darkness more, this one is easy to commit to memory.

Of all the codes I have seen in print so far, the above quoted I like the best personally. It has that fist shaking revolutionary feeling. This is what I would want the Force to do for me (or guide me to do).

The Force shall free me. Sith Lord Reshpu I like this Sith code. I would certianly want to get this from the Force. Since like Darth Vader in EP III, I am an active volcano, I have no problem with passion. Welcome Back Darth Sindo! Glad you are back ;D
