Is Darth Sidious the last Sith?
I've read articles in the database in the official site of Lucas and I couldn't find the answer of this question.

Sidious was not the last sith. there are Sith right upto the Jedi Academy series, and probably beyond it as well, however, sith in the traditonal sense, no, these sith were jedi turncoats trained by skywalker who were unhappy with various things and/ or events, and ended up learned the way's of the dark side, some of whom became very powerfull, for example Kueller

Well the last real sith the spices died out even before the jedi civil war with Revan and Malak. Sidious's form of sith was the idea or the religion and that will never die
I have also learned that sidious was made one with the dark side and turned into a spirt 11 ABY or after the first death star was destroyed.

technically they did not... from what i remember the jedi, as well as everyone else beleived they were dead.. but one of them had survived.. he was the one who started the "Rule of Two" ..and a lot of the sith stuff equated to sidious

Only two there can be...
The Master, and the Apprentice.
It is the job of the Master to raise the stroingest, most powerfull apprentice he possibly can. (and to defeat any rebellious apprentice)
It is the job of the Apprentice to eventually destroy their master, and repeat the cycle.

Who said that Palpatine joined into the Dark Side after Episode six? Funny. That is the feeling I always got after watching Episode six. Remember, he was firing out the lightning still as Vader threw him. He kept shooting it still as he went down; then, a burst of blue that is the same color rose up. From that I assumed he became the lightning which is the Force itself.
Speculation: Does that mean he will return as lightning? Lightning strikes and his spirit enters whatever (whomever) is struck?

Lightning strikes and his spirit enters whatever (whomever) is struck? personally, and im sure this is supported officially somewhere, my opinion on that has always been that such was the release of the energy from his body, as it was broken and no longer able to contain all the power he had amassed.

It makes me wonder how he developed. Did he gradually over the years amass more energy, and as he did so, his body increased in tolerance of electricity? In his confrontation with Mace, did he get a higher dose than he was used to and therefore his face became distorted?
I have this other lesser known movie entitled "Powder." It is about some pregnant woman who got struck by lightning. She died, but her baby survived. He was hairless and had pale white skin. He was charged with electricity and if he were around appliances, he'd short them out. It made me wonder if this is what Palpatine was like young. The only difference is this particular person was a mild-mannered gentle person; whearas, Palpatine would have been a tougher type, even young. In this movie it is reasoned that a person that was that electrically charged would have no body hair. I had always imagined that Palpatine was hairless, but it is clear that he had hair at least through his early emporer years. Did he ever lose his hair?

afaik the only hair he lost was during the encounter with Mace - assuming, that is that he lost *any* there are absolutely no sources, either official or otherwise, that ever mention anything like this. in short, your guess would be as good as mine..
an interesting point... i had never really considered what he did to involve electricity - only as a somewhat lethal manifestation of his power within the dark side

Actually... After Palpatine... Vader would of never become a Sith Lord. Vader was far too weak to truly become a Sith... He was irrational and emotional, and those are not the traits of a powerful Sith (like Palpatine).
Actually though, the later Sith received training from long dead Sith... like Exar Khun who was trapped near Luke’s Jedi Academy... and then of course there were the Palpatine clones. I assume though, that since Exar Khun existed still, other Sith probably brought back their philosophies in similar ways.
The true Sith couldn't die, just like the Jedi could not.

I don't think Palpatine would have wanted Anakin so much if he wasn't Sith material. Perhaps Palpatine was a bit experimental and decided to try a more emotional type of person.
Do any of the extended universe books cover Palpatine's younger years? For instance, his life as an apprentice to Darth Plageous.
I always had a fascination with electricity, ever since I was a very young kid. I loved to watch the lightning. I got a lot of good shows since the Florida west coast is known as a lightning area. I have noticed that some people have a high tolerance for electricity while others don't. I saw a person barely react to a tazer once. Normally those things knock a person to the ground, but this guy was barely phased. Weird. As you probably know, there are different kinds of electricity. I have one of those Tesla coil balls. They have a spherical glass surface and a center inside that emits a sort of pinkish bluish electricity to the edges of the glass. You can touch it with your hand, and the current follows your hand. It is one way to feel it safely. It somehow connects to the electricity already flowing inside your body. I find that that gizmo can increase the flow in me. As a person who likes the Force and the Sith, this fascinates me. That we have electricity inside us is a scientific fact. One could take the leap and assume that Dark Lords of the Sith have a whole lot more.
I wonder why electricity or lightning is considered the Dark Side? Lightning is bright white light in actuality.

I don't believe the rule of two for one second. i guess i can understand that... after all, after Palpatine believed he had the galaxy under sway, and the jedi defeated, the rule of two was one of the first things he disposed of.. although all the Dark Sider's he trained were really only Adept's, and by his design any training and the knowledge they were able to receive or attain was severely limited - he wanted (and was) to be the most powerful Dark Sider in history. His "vision" of the galaxy and the dark side were connected in such a way that the Galactic Empire was a precursor to something much, much darker - referred to only as the "Dark Empire" where all the Moff's, Grand Moff's, as well as almost all other level's of government, as well as his armed forces, would be under the control of his various trusted adept's - he quite literally intended to create a state which induced the strongest of emotional responses, and to use the galaxy to feed the dark side. there was more to it that that, but at the moment that is as much as i can remember

Interesting the idea of Palpatine being in the lightning itself and entering the person struck. This would be a form of walk in. It would be nice and convenient if this lightning hit Bush or the next guy in 2009. I like the idea of the many Sith adepts ruleing to help Palpatine. The vangardist principal.
