The movie Jedi should be like monks but in reality they acted as a security force and try for power as much as the Sith. The only difference is the Sith are more honest. The Jedi in the movie pretend to be alteristic but are in reality cold and selfish. This why Anakin was swayed by Palpatine. Hannigan1, I liked your statement about there is only the Force because it is very Kabalistic. At the top of the Keter the Force is united and balanced. Both dark and light are mixed together and are one. I agree with you that Mace is a white washed seplica Sith. Jedi was a descise for him. I wish Anakin could have got him also, but I am satisfied how Palpatine handled it. I do not believe that Palpatine lied to Anakin when he offerd to save Padme because the offer was with the understanding that Padme except the new galactic empire. She rejected it so Palpatine was not obligated to help her. Darth Sindo, I know the quote it is from Voldemort. I am reading the Harry potter series also.

Jedi and Sith are, and always will be, part of the same universe. both ideals are similar, yet different. without the Jedi, there would never have been Sith. so, even Jedi serve a purpose.

I tend to think of Sith of being like Illuminati or 32nd/33rd Degree Masons. I think of Jedi as the 3rd Degree Masons or Blue Lodge. If you ever read Mason stuff, lower degree themes fit more Jedi thinking and higher degrees sound more Sith. This I find fascinating.
