I have found that radio scanners are true sith technology. A scanner can be used to perform remote, undetectable surveillance of any radio transmitter. With a push of a button, I can know what the police are doing, or what my neighbors are saying on the phone. My scanners are my most powerful sith tech in my possession.
In addition to scanners, any weapon is useful. As well as any kind of camouflage.
I would like to know what other sith lords are using to enhance their personal power.

Well, the computer for one thing. I decided to learn about them to expand my reach, to not be limited to one small area. I remember the days when you'd have to wait for the post office to mail answers to questions asked. Now I can communicate and get info instantly from around the English-speaking world. There are still many who don't use a computer. Using one puts you in the 40% or so of population with an advantage.
Yes, it is now possible to buy spy devices that were once only used by professional spies. I have a device with a microphone and headphones that I can use to enhance sound. I uncovered a plot being made against me by someone because I could hear them with this thing (I couldn't have otherwise).
We can be Sith James Bonds.
Can anyone think of devices in Star Wars that have since been invented?

there are rumors of the military developing a new hi-tech laser gun. the principals of the gun are a little different than in Star Wars, but with time i think they will be able to develop something similar. i have access to numerous items that are not available to the general public. some of these items, such as a "taser" (a small device used to shock a suspect into submission) duplicate Sith abilities, like Sith lightning.

I saw some tazers for sale at some gun shows awhile back. I've seen some spy stuff in certain catalogs. Availability of such may have to do with what country you live in. Are you in the U.S.?
I guess a tazer dupicates Sith lightning since it is electricity. I knew a guy once who was not affected by a tazer. I wonder if that means he is similar to Palpatine in some respects. To use Sith lightning coming from yourself and not a device would require that you have a high tolerance of electricity. It would be assumed that Palpatine had a high tolerance but those he zapped did not and it hurt them or even killed them.

Yes, I suppose that a personal computer essentially becomes a sith holocron, when owned by a sith. Especially when you use it as a hacking tool.
I also have an amplified listening device. Very useful. Your vehicle is a great sith tech instrument, especially if you have it set up for stealth as I do.

Lord Exar Kun,
Please describe the technologies you possess in more detail.

I work in Law Enforcement, and a tasser in action is an increadable thing to see. Also most agencies don't use a standard baton anymore. Now an extendable baton is used. With a flip of the wrist a small portable devise the size of a medium size flashlight can exten two feet or more. In corrections some of these types of batons are electrified. To me this resembles a light sabre.

i also work in law enforcement. i have been for the last three years. many things that we use are not available for the general public. expandable batons, called ASP batons, are excellent for disarming and subduing a suspect. they come in many sizes, ranging from 14 inches to 32 inches and in between. i understand how they could be compared to lightsabers because they expand. that is the extent of their similarities.

Lord Exar Kun, the Asp baton is not restricted to law inforcement. I have 3 of them. They can be purchased from a variety of catalogs. I purchased mine from shomer tech. I paid with a personal check. I've had them for years, no problems.

i never claimed that the ASP batons were unavailable to the general public. i was responding to Darth Midian's post about batons. there are, however, many items that law enforcement can get that the public can not. i do not want to start a competition to see who owns the most, so as far as the batons and tasers go, they are available and that is what i all i will say about law enforcement items.

as far as Sith technology, there are things being thought of and created everyday that mimic things from the Star Wars universe. i think within the next ten-fifteen years, we will see a huge leap foward in technology.

Well Exar Kun, I think we got sidetracked.
I started this post to find out what other sith were using to increase their perrsonal power. I just figure that there are other people out there who realize that sith/jedi can exist in the real world, without sacirficing the essence of theiir starwars role.

I don't know if this is entirley relevant or not but something I saw in the newspaper the otherday astounded me! You can say I am making this up if you don't believe me but I don't lie... I read that scientists have developed some kind of "plasma pencil" they say this resembles a lightsaber in a way. It can extend ( the beam ) to about 3 - 4 cm it is made of some kind of plasma. I can't remember exactly what they said but they did say that it would/could posisbly be use by dentists or doctors in the future to slice through things easily So just think, if they have finally came up with a way to make one ( no matter how big it is ) in the future there may be such a thing as a light saber *gulps*

Well, dont get too excited. The ability to create a plasma torch has been around for a while. You just need to figure out how to have an opposite pole stick out away from the handle.
