Adam Weishaupt was the founder of the Illuminati in Bavaria in 1776. He was a professor and this was a secret society with political intent. It was Masonesque but with dark, some even say satanic overtones. They attempted to take over the other Freemasons. They could be said to be the "Sith." This society actually existed and is a favorite discussion topic of conspiracy theorists who believe they are still active and plotting.

sidious is NOT the last sith. he did train many people sensitive to the Force to become his "Dark Siders." they were not full blown Sith, but some tried to take the throne after Sidious was killed in ROJ. after Vader threw him into the power core, Sidious used the Force to transfer his essence to one of his cloned bodies he had created on Byss. he trained some of his "Dark Siders" to become Dark Jedi and eventually trained Luke Skywalker for a short time after Grand Admiral Thrawn. Skywalker and Leia killed that clone, and Sidious transferred to yet another clone. that clone, to my knowledge is still roaming the galaxy somewhere. to end my thought, where there is light, there will always be darkness. where there are Jedi, there will always be Sith.

where there is light, there will always be darkness. where there are Jedi, there will always be Sith. This quote is intersting. I agree with it.

that clone, to my knowledge is still roaming the galaxy somewhere. Actually, that clone got killed...by Han Solo. Yes, Han killed the last clone, he shot Palpatine with his blaster. Palpatine's spirit was then seized by a dying Jedi, Empatojayos Brand, and when Brand died so did Palpatine's spirit. Happened in Empire's End, which wrapped up the Dark Empire comics. That would mean the Sith Order is dead, since Darth Sidious is now gone for good. Though the order is gone, its teachings live on. So it all depends on whether you believe the Sith Order lives on through its teachings or not.

When you hear the thunder, go outside. When you see the lightning crash, think of Sideous. He is still around, deep in the Dark Side itself. He comes as the lightning. He just isn't in a body right now.

thank you, Darth Millennial, for the info on Palpentine's clone. i was not aware of his fate. however, i would not call the Sith Order dead, there will always be Sith. the Sith Order is the flip of the Jedi Order. everything has to have a foil, that is the way of the Force.

The sith order can not be distroyed.... when palpatine died it just meant that the position is up for grabs.
Any one sensitive to the force can learn the ways of the Sith. Its simple, they can travel to Korriban and educate themselves in the ways of the Sith.
Look at Tales of a Jedi when Exar Kun was curious about the darkside, he went to the Sith tombs to learn more, as well whose to say the spirit of a Sith lord in not going to aid the individual like freedon Nadd did for Kun.

Are you saying that spirits of deceased Sith communicate with and even train living Sith?

Post by Lord Exar Kun on Sept 13, 2005 23:30:44 GMT
yes the sith spirits can and do communicate with students. take the example of Exar Kun and Kyp Durron in the Jedi Acadamy triology of books. Kun talked to Durron and eventually tried to turn him to the dark side. even before that, again with Exar Kun, the spirits of the ancient sith appeared before him and Ulic Quel-Dromo to give them the title of sith.

thank you, Darth Rageous. i agree that the Sith will never die. the Dark Side holds more secrets to life and death than anything the jedi know.

And I think Sidious said this before... the Last known Sith was Darth Invader. I don't think Darth Invader actually exists in the SW-verse. After all, none of the books have reached 1000+ years after the classic trilogy, which is when DI is said to exist. And that same site said that Sidious would probably live forever since he can keep cloning himself, which is untrue as Palpy's DNA was degenerated by sabotage. As for Palpatine's spirit... he's in Sith Hell right now, about as dead as a Sith Spirit can get. Wonder if he chats with Exar Kun down there...

Darth Millennial... So tell me what is true. Explain your answer, and help me gage an understanding of the Star Wars Universe. Or rather should I say your opinions.

Exar Kun speaking with kyp was a "special occurance", and was only actually possible because at the time he was originally defeated he was able to drain the life force of all his massassai(sp?) slaves and warriors, as such enabling him to trap his spirit on yavin.
Palpatine/ Sidious would not have been able to live forever, as mentioned in Dark Empire, because his clones became instable..the only way around that would have been to inhabit the body of an unborn jedi (read: solo twins). That failed that is not my opinion, that is the facts, both officially and canonically supported

True, but there's always Marka Ragnos. His spirit has survived since the days of the Ancient Sith Empire, and is still going strong about 14 years after the Battle of Yavin. However, I'd say Kun's spirit was stronger, due to the Massassi life drain empowering him.
And Darth Invader can't be canonical, because the Star Wars universe hasn't even reached the point in time where DI is supposed to exist.

Is Darth Sidious the last Sith?
KYP DURRON Self-proclaimed Dark Lord of the Sith.Born on the Deyer colony of the Anoat system. Kyp's parents were outspoken polititians who openly protested the Ghorman Massacre and the destruction of Alderaan. One night stormtroopers barged into their house and sent Kyp and his parents to the prison colony on Kessel, and sent his brother Zeth to the Imperial Stormtrooper Academy on Caridia. Kyp's parents were executed when Moruth Doole took over the Kessel facilities. Kyp survived and met a fellow inmate, Vima-Da-Boda, who taught him the basics about the Force. Later, Kyp escaped from Kessel with the help of Han Solo and managed to be captured again by Admiral Daala while fleeing into the Maw. Narrowly avoiding a death sentence from Daala, Kyp escaped again with Solo and the scientist Qwi Xux. While training at Luke Skywalker's newly established Jedi Academy, Kyp encountered the spirit of the long-dead Exar Kun and began gaining power through the Dark Side and ancient Sith teachings. Pissed off at the Empire for all the pain it has cause him and his family, Kyp furiously waged a one-man war against the Empire using the Sun Crusher and his newly acquired Sith powers. While visiting the site of Darth Vader's funeral pyre on Endor, Kyp claimed the title of The Dark Lord Of The Sith (he was able to claim this since no other known Sith existed to challenge him, although in my opinion Kyp had not reached a high enough level to rightfully claim the title). Kyp eventually returned to the Light Side after Kun's spirit was destroyed by the other Jedi trainies and thus was no longer under Kun's influence.
From the new Star wars books.

Durron I see as more of a pseudo-Sith. It was really Exar Kun's ghost in control of Kyp, IMO, who in fact became a Jedi Master later on. Now, the real clincher here is the fact George Lucas said the Sith were destroyed in the end of ROTJ. Of course, that's no fun, so I take it to say that Darth Bane's Sith Order is what was destroyed on the DS2. Possible remnants of the Old Sith Empire, as well as Korriban's cache of Sith Spirits who can freely interact with their surroundings mean that the Sith are still kicking... from a certain point of view.
