I know most, if not all of you will not yet have seen this, but anyway... i have just watched this yesterday after work (...the benefits of the cinema industry ) and wow. they really, really deliver on this one. you guys must watch this when its released, you seriously dont know what your missing.. oh theres a few inconsistancies between what we learn in III and from what we know from IV,V, and VI, but the storyline and the work that has been put into the film are absolutely amazing.. anakins turning to the dark side was pulled off brilliantly, and tbh i very much doubt that there is anything that they could have made seriously better with this final installment. for you palpatine fans out there...Ian McDarmid's acting in this will blow your mind... (its weird...i was really ott on this film before i saw it...seeing it didnt help, only made the desire to see it *again* worse :S) the worst thing about the film is i cant watch it again untill sunday its not released till thursday (weds today) and i have to work untill then :/. oh well...atleast that gives me the advantage of being able to watch it without any kids making a huge fuss and spoiling it. hope with this i havent spoiled any of it for you guys, and i sincerely hope you all enjoy the film as much as we did

ROTS was a great movie and Palpatine rocks a lot. Even Yoda looked cool. A shame he's a Jedi. He would make fine Sith. Yes, that he would do.
"In the name of the galactic senate, you are under arrest." "Are you threatening me, master Jedi?"
- Mace Windu to Palpatine.

I would say the other good ability in acting must go to hayden. He displayed his conflict very well and in my opinion improved alot from episode 2.

Quite and his line delivery in Episode 2 was pretty darn weak. If it wasn't for Ewan I think he may have been lost.

To add another point of greatness to the third installment of the Star Wars Saga I would have to say that the visual effects are amazing almost every scene was mind blowing in it's unreal design.

I liked Ep.III as well. Iagree that Ian McDiarmid did very well. Palpatine was exciteing and drew you in like a magnet. Hayden did well also in Ep.III. In Ep. III Anakin was mature beond his actual cronalogical age. In EpII Anakin was makeing the transistion from teenager to full adult so to me Hayden did equilly well in both. It would be totally unbelieveable if Anakin was 100% mature in Ep.II. Anakin needed that young mischievious teenager with a little adult to get us from Ep. I to Ep. III in a logical fashion. I as a Female like both Ep. II and Ep III They are neck and neck so to speak. In Ep.II as a women I loved How cute and handsome Anakin was also I liked the fact in Ep.II you see all Anakin's feelings as clear as crystal, hideing none. In Ep.III Anakin then hides his feelings and you need to use the force tofeel them. In Ep. III Anakin/Vader was also handsome. To me Ep. II and Ep.III were very crucial for emotional and spiritual reasons.

I think that there is no one else who could have been a better or equal emperor.

Ian McDiarmid was the best choice. There is one actor that could come in as a second: Ian Richardson. He looks a bit like Palpatine, and this actor comes from the same country as McDiarmid, I think. He starred in a series on Public Television a few years ago. My mother found the DVD's at the Sam's Club recently. It was called HOUSE OF CARDS. It was a fictional political intrigue that took place in England. It was about how this minor player in the Parliament maneuvered his way into being Prime Minister. He had some Palpatine-like traits as far as plotting goes. In fact, I wonder if George Lucas could have been influenced by this series for the prequels. This Francis Urquout character was charming yet deadly. He murdered four people on his way up, including throwing a woman off the top of a building. I did not like this Urquot person because he was so much like a Republican politically (a different political title over there). Palpatine was not so Republican sounding (Thank God!). Anyhow this other actor could have plausibly played Palpatine.

yeah ive heard of this... not sure what it equates to over there, but here the main parties are Labour(the party that is supposedly for normal people), who are currently in power, who really should not ever have been, and i hope to god never are again ( PM's are not limited to two terms here like they are in the state's, infact its not unknown for a PM to have three term's in office), the Conservative's (The rich man's party), and the Liberal Democrats, who are currently lead by a scottsman afaik, but have no idsea what they represent
(as youve probably guessed i dont particularly care too much for politic's in reality)
