I have just recently read a critics review of the Satr Wars Episode 3 movie and I must say that I was shocked and in some ways amazed. This guy actually gave this movie 2 1/2 out of five stars. Although I know he has the right to think this I would like to know what other people feel about this rating and why he might have given the movie this bad of a review.

On this subject, had somneone in work earlier watching this, his opinion as he came out of the screen annoyed me :S cant remember exactly what he said, but with a yoda impersonation it was something like: rubbish, what, a load of two years of my life, wasted, they are. Bastard

The movie, I think, made some people uncomfortable because it was pro-dictatorship and anti-organized religion (Jedi). Palpatine purged the same two categories as Stalin: Religion and capital (Jedi and Trade Federation). It is rare to get an American made movie with such a view.

you beat me to it Seriously though, i really, really cant understand people in regards to this film. Anyone, and everyone, KNEW EXACTLY what would happen in this film... so why make such a fuss about it?

Really and that was a huge risk. Just knowing that everyone who saw the original three would know what was going to happen in the new movies made it so Lucas had to make really good movies.

many people expect Star Wars movies to have an upbeat, good guys always win attitude. after Episode 1 and Episode 2, i think that many people were a little scared to see Episode 3 because the other two were not up to par in their eyes. Revenge of the Sith is the only Star Wars movie that received a PG-13 rating and was a very dark and brooding movie. i loved the movie and can't wait for it to come out on DVD. many people i talked to, and myself, felt a little shocked after watching it the first time. there was so much going on and i felt connected to Anakin. i think most people expected a dumb, cartoonish movie and when it came out, the critics did not know what to say.

I had to quote this one since I agree intirely. Never in all my life in America does an American movie make you sympithize with a Stalin figure. This is historic. Usually you are always told capitalism, republican good communist bad. This was a breath of fresh air. Lord Exar Kun, I too felt connected to Anakin. So much so that I went into Shock after the film and got extreamly angree days later.
